I'm glad the art exhibition planted an art piece here otherwise I would have never came across this place. The art installation is part of the Desert X Art Festival, which features 16 artworks scattered across 45 miles of the valley. Desert X is one of those expansive art events that is worthy of the time it takes to visit all of its unique pieces. The Desert X Art show is scheduled to happen every two years. I was running short on time but got to see what I came for and took some nice photos but at the same time disappointed I wasnt able to venture off to see the rest of the estate. Desert X has officially closed (as of 2017), and all of these installations are now gone. In 2019 a non-profit in Mexico announced the production of 3D-printed homes for low-income families. The moment I entered the facility I was in awe of how calm and peaceful the garden was setup, the design of the estate was meticulously crafted. Rancho Mirage is not the first place to see 3D-printed homes in recent years. Frank Sinatra owned at least six homes during his 82-year life and rented numerous others almost all of them in California or New Jersey plus his penthouse in Manhattan. To be honest I came here to see one thing only and it was for an art exhibition 'Desert X' that had one of their pieces on display here for a limited time. However they do not allow such meetings, events or weddings to the public. That alone tells you the reputation of the garden estate. As a matter of fact former President Barrack Obama, including other leaders of the world, held a meeting here.

The location looks like it could be in a James Bond movie it has sort of a surreal atmosphere. Desert X is a site-specific, contemporary art exhibition that is held in the Coachella Valley in Southern California. From the drive in you would think you're entering some luxury resort but is actually a garden estate.
